Job Requirements
- high school diploma
- 1-3 years clerical experience preferred
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- excellent telephone etiquette
- ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, physicians, hospital staff and insurance companies
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work under stress and meet deadlines with high accuracy
- knowledgeable with computer systems
- ability to use 10-key calculator and computer keyboard
- physical ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- ability to stand and walk prolong periods
- ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist and squat
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma required
- 1-3 years clerical and customer service experience preferred
- experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred
- strong oral and written communication skills
- excellent telephone etiquette
- ability to establish positive working relationships

- proficiency with computer systems and 10-key calculator
Job Duties
- facilitate scheduling and registration of patients
- perform benefit verification and pre-certification tasks
- handle financial clearance including pre-visit collections
- ensure accurate and complete patient data entry into medical records
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance carriers and Medicare guidelines
- communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurance companies
- adhere to federal, state, and accreditation agency regulations
