Job Description
Harwood Hospitality Group is Dallas' premier hospitality owner-operator, renowned for its visionary approach and dedication to creating unique and memorable experiences. Among its flagship offerings is Hotel Swexan, located in the vibrant Harwood District, which embodies a multi-generational vision that blends local expertise with international influences. As a destination that draws inspiration from some of the world's greatest cities such as New York, London, and Paris, Hotel Swexan offers guests a unique blend of classic elegance and contemporary style. It serves as a cultural hub where guests can immerse themselves in a dynamic atmosphere that encourages both celebration and solitude. The hotel features several distinct concepts including Stillwell's, a signature steakhouse with an impressive wine list; Babou's, an energetic nightlife spot; Isabelle's, a European-inspired cafe; Pomelo, the exclusive rooftop pool bar for hotel guests; and Léonie, an elegant and serene space at the top of the hotel.
The role at Hotel Swexan is focused on supporting baking operations across these venues, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, creativity, and cleanliness are met. The position requires maintaining accurate records, managing supplies and inventory, decorating baked goods with precision, and assessing the quality of raw materials. In addition to operational tasks, the role involves contributing to recipe development and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, refined hospitality environment and are passionate about culinary arts, particularly baking. The position demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Candidates can expect to engage with a diverse clientele, gain exposure to a variety of culinary influences, and be part of a hospitality group that is synonymous with excellence and innovation. The employment type is not explicitly stated, but prior banquet experience and food handling certifications are essential, indicating a professional setting with a strong emphasis on food safety and customer service.
