This full-time Pastry Sous Chef position is located at SnapChat's site in Santa Monica, California. Job Duties

  • Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
  • Coordinate activities of cooks and other food-service associates
  • Assume responsibility for kitchen and staff in absence of Executive Chef
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
  • Store food properly following safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints
  • Relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Demonstrate understanding of menu items and explain them to associates and customers
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries
  • Track product production, consumption, and waste
  • Inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • Perform other duties as assigned
