Job Requirements
- Prior bread and pastries baking experience
- Ability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications
- Prior bread and pastries baking experience
- Strong culinary knowledge of baking techniques
- Experience supervising and managing kitchen staff
- Ability to follow approved recipes and maintain production standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage inventory and track product waste
- Leadership and team coordination abilities
Job Duties
- Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
- Coordinate activities of cooks and other food-service associates
- Assume responsibility for kitchen and staff in absence of Executive Chef
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- Store food properly following safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints
- Relay relevant information to supervisor
- Demonstrate understanding of menu items and explain them to associates and customers
- Monitor inventory and deliveries
- Track product production, consumption, and waste
- Inform supervisor when supplies are low
- Perform other duties as assigned
