Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years supervisory experience in pastry or culinary environment
  • ability to work Monday through Friday schedule
  • strong technical pastry skills
  • knowledge of food safety and allergen protocols
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to mentor and train staff
  • proficiency with inventory management
  • commitment to sustainable sourcing practices
  • ServSafe Manager certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in culinary arts with pastry specialization preferred
  • minimum 2 years kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume, premium food service
  • strong leadership skills with a value-driven approach
  • passion for pastry arts and baking science
  • excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • proficient with Google Suite applications
  • knowledge of health & safety standards and sustainable food practices
  • ServSafe Manager certification preferred
  • experience managing in a union environment a plus

Job Duties

  • Champion food & workplace safety
  • precisely follow menu specifications, production guides, and prep expectations
  • oversee preparation of diverse pastry items
  • set example of engaging hospitality with guest interactions
  • support weekly inventory management and waste reduction
  • actively train, mentor, and develop pastry team members
  • assist leadership with sustainable ingredient sourcing
  • ensure policy compliance with Bon Appetit guidelines
