The Pastry Prep Cook position at Legends Global, located on-site at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals eager to contribute to high-profile events. Working under the direction of the Executive Culinary Team, this role is integral to supporting all culinary operations by preparing a variety of pastries and desserts. This part-time seasonal position offers an hourly wage of $26.00 and requires flexibility to work varying hours based on event schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Pastry Prep Cook will apply basic baking and cooking techniques such as baking cookies, cakes, sponge, and preparing mousse, custards, meringues, and cooking fruit products. Responsibilities include assisting with the baking of breads, pies, cakes, and cookies, plating desserts to order, and providing pastry station service for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The role demands a keen eye for color coordination and presentation, ensuring all food items are garnished and served with appropriate portion sizes following the instructions and recipes provided by the Pastry Chef. This dynamic role not only supports the kitchen but also helps maintain a clean and organized work environment by assisting with station breakdowns and cleaning.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in high-volume environments, a foundational knowledge of baking and pastry, and the ability to multitask while prioritizing under deadline pressure.   • Must be able to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Reports for scheduled events on time in proper uniform with neat and clean personal appearance
  • Requires basic knowledge of baking and cooking techniques including baking cookies, cakes, sponge
  • Making mousse, custards, meringue
  • Cooking fruit products
  • Follows procedures and directions of the pastry chef and management
  • Assists in baking breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries
  • Plates desserts to order and performs breakfast, lunch, or dinner pastry station service
  • Checks for color coordination and eye appeal of all food items using appropriate garnishes
  • Follows proper serving methods including serving correct portion sizes
  • Follows recipes and cooking procedures as directed by the pastry chef
  • Assists with the breakdown and cleaning of various stations
