Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pastry or baking
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math and organizational skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new pastry offerings
  • Ensure quality control by consistently following recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in training new pastry staff members
