Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a pastry department or similar culinary role
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and maintenance
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization standards
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely

Job Duties

  • Responsible for prep in all aspects associated with the pastry department
  • Ensures dessert standards, quality, and consistency
  • Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of station and surrounding areas
  • Organizes kitchen products and manages product rotation
  • Reports necessary repairs for kitchen equipment and appliances
  • Operates pastry department at optimal efficiency
  • Executes pastry orders for catered events and special requests
  • Keeps records related to deliveries, dessert transfers, and production levels
