The Pastry Prep role is integral to maintaining the high standards of dessert offerings and the overall success of the pastry department across these venues. Reporting directly to the Pastry Sous Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, General Manager, and Assistant General Manager, this position ensures that all aspects associated with pastry preparation meet quality, consistency, and safety expectations. The individual will be responsible for various tasks ranging from dessert production, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workstations, to managing the rotation and upkeep of pastry products and equipment. This role demands a candidate capable of functioning efficiently in a fast-paced production environment with a keen eye for detail and adherence to company standards and health codes.

The Pastry Prep is tasked with following precise recipes and procedures set by the culinary leadership to ensure desserts meet the brand’s high expectations. They will play a key role in executing pastry orders for catered events, accommodating special requests, and keeping detailed records relating to deliveries, dessert transfers, and production levels. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a pastry department or similar culinary role
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and maintenance
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization standards
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
