Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in baking or food preparation preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and baking procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to comply with Aramark’s safety and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Flexibility to meet work schedules including potential shifts and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Background in the baking industry or a related field
- Proven understanding of baking practices, benchmarks, and adherence to food safety protocols
- Certification in food safety
- Ability to understand basic mathematical principles and execute accurate counting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities in interactions with others
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
- Willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and wear designated uniforms if required
Job Duties
- Bake and prepare an assortment of pastries using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- Set up your workstation with all the required baking supplies and equipment
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, and complete other necessary tasks to organize the ingredients
- Use baking equipment like ovens, cookers, and mixers
- Safely employ kitchen tools, such as knives, when engaging in food prep activities
- Implement proper storage practices as outlined in food safety policies
- After finishing work, sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to prevent the spread of germs
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor when assisting guests, clients, customers, colleagues, and others
- Abide by Aramark safety policies, emphasizing the importance of adhering to food safety and sanitation practices
- Maintain the security of company assets through strict adherence to designated safety measures
