Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shift
  • Experience in bakery or pastry operations preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Basic math skills for inventory and scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • Valid food handlers card
  • Customer service experience
  • Retail experience

Job Duties

  • Assist the bakery manager with training of team members
  • Oversee team members and implement strategies to increase productivity
  • Maintain inventory levels
  • Collaborate with bakery manager to prepare a weekly schedule based on projected sales and workload
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Monitor quality of goods and service while ensuring a fully-stocked display cases
  • Place orders of supplies based on accurate forecasting of department needs
  • Clearly communicate and enforce standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, bakery conditions, and food safety to all team members
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries and complaints
  • Provide flexibility by helping in any area in order to support the store needs
  • Demonstrate personal customer service excellence
  • Engage with customers always
  • Improve speed and efficiency of service provided
