Job Description
Maggiano's Little Italy is a celebrated casual dining restaurant that embodies Italian American tradition and hospitality. Founded by Norman Brinker, a pioneer of the casual dining concept, Maggiano's has grown from a single location in Chicago to a beloved chain known for delivering good food, good times, and great places to work. As part of the Brinker International family, it stands as a testament to quality and community service, emphasizing the value of bringing people together to celebrate the love of family and friends. The establishment prides itself not only on its exceptional culinary offerings but also on its supportive and inclusive culture that nurtures employee growth and meaningful contributions to the community. The workplace spirit at Maggiano's is encapsulated in 'The Maggiano's Way,' a distinct approach that fosters connection, teamwork, and a shared passion for excellence.
The Pastry Cook role at Maggiano's Little Italy is essential to the restaurant's culinary success, focusing on the preparation and execution of all pastry items according to established recipes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about baking and pastry arts to become part of a dedicated kitchen team known for its creative energy and professionalism. The Pastry Cook works closely with Executive and Sous Chefs in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and commitment to quality are paramount. Whether crafting delectable treats for intimate dinners or large-scale events such as weddings and celebrations, the Pastry Cook plays a critical role in delivering culinary delights that enhance guests' dining experiences.
Beyond the kitchen, working at Maggiano's includes being part of a company that values giving back. The brand supports various charitable initiatives such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the North Texas Food Bank. Employees are encouraged to engage with these causes, reinforcing the restaurant's commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Employment with Maggiano's includes a variety of benefits, such as competitive earning opportunities, healthcare plans with domestic partner benefits (based on tenure and hours worked), career development and global training possibilities, tuition assistance, and a market-leading 401(k) savings plan with company match. Additional perks include rewards and recognition programs, discounts on electronics, travel, and dining at Brinker-owned brands, ensuring that employees are appreciated both inside and outside the workplace.
The culinary team at Maggiano's is akin to a fine bottle of Cabernet—it only improves with time. The kitchen staff, including Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Pastry Cooks, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers, consistently deliver high-quality handmade dishes that please every guest. This team is distinguished by its dedication and the passion of true foodies driven by creative culinary inspiration from the masterful chefs in Dallas. It is a fast-paced and demanding environment where each member is committed to excellence, whether serving a special dinner on Valentine’s Day or orchestrating a large wedding event. Joining Maggiano's means becoming part of a supportive and fun workplace that truly believes life is short, so you might as well work happy.
