Job Description
Disneyland Resort is a globally recognized entertainment destination known for its magical experiences, world-class attractions, and exceptional hospitality. Located in California, the resort comprises multiple theme parks, hotels, and entertainment venues that bring together millions of visitors each year seeking memorable experiences and high-quality guest service. Among these, the culinary teams play a vital role in delighting guests with innovative and exquisite dining experiences, underscoring Disney's commitment to excellence, creativity, and storytelling.
The Pastry teams at Disneyland Resort are not just chefs; they are artists, visionaries, and storytellers who transform exceptional ingredients into edible works of art. These teams operate in various production bakeries, including the Central Bakery and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Bakeshop, where creativity and precision meet to craft unforgettable dining moments. The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Bakeshop, supporting the hotel’s banquet special events and the renowned Napa Rose fine dining restaurant, is a hub of innovation and culinary excellence. Napa Rose has recently undergone a stunning reimagination with a bold new menu, cementing its legacy as a trailblazer in California’s fine dining scene.
The role of Dinner Cook on the Pastry Line at Disneyland Resort offers an exceptional opportunity to work alongside Disney’s celebrated Pastry Chefs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position emphasizes innovation, quality, and the artistry of fine pastries, desserts, and specialty showpieces such as the iconic larger-than-life gingerbread houses. Candidates passionate about pastry and culinary arts will find this role a fulfilling chance to bring magic to every plate, collaborating with a team that values both tradition and creativity.
Disneyland is committed to providing employees with unmatched opportunities for professional growth and development. This position invites candidates to join a dynamic team where speed, precision, and creativity are essential. The pay rate for this role in California is $28.00 per hour, with other benefits available depending on the position and level offered. Working hours are varied to accommodate the resort’s 24/7 operations, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, reflecting the vibrant, non-stop nature of Disney’s hospitality environment.
This role requires a strong foundation in pastry arts, including expertise in cakes, plated desserts, and experience in banquet and restaurant settings. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of culinary experience or a culinary degree with equivalent high-volume production experience. Skills in recipe formulation, kitchen safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures are essential. Disney values strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a passion for providing excellent guest service. Candidates will also benefit from strong piping skills and the ability to assist with specialty decorations and dietary accommodations.
Overall, the Dinner Cook role within the Disneyland Resort Pastry Team represents an exciting pathway for culinary professionals eager to push the boundaries of pastry arts while delivering world-class guest experiences. This is more than a job; it is an invitation to be part of a legendary brand that celebrates talent, innovation, and the magic of culinary storytelling.
