Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience as a pastry cook or baker
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Experience in hospitality industry
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening
  • Compliance with appearance guidelines, including restrictions on tattoos, piercings and facial hair
  • Successful completion of gaming licensure process

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years pastry cook or baker experience
  • Culinary degree preferred with a proven track record in pastry arts
  • Experience in hospitality industry required, experience in a high volume hotel or resort preferred
  • Experience in European pastries and strong grasp of current trends and presentations
  • Creativity with baked goods and bread production
  • Proven experience working in an extremely fast paced environment with multiple functions simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate and deliver a high level of service to guests
  • Able to interface effectively with front-of-house staff to produce a positive guest experience

Job Duties

  • Prepares cakes, cookies, pies, puddings and other desserts according to recipes
  • Prepares desserts and pastries in accordance with established standards set by the Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef
  • Assists in quality and portion control of products
  • Ensures proper labeling, rotation, storage temperature and environment required for products
  • Strives to eliminate over-production and over-purchasing
  • Maintains quality inventory control of production
  • Ensures production and storage areas comply with city and state health department codes
  • Promotes positive public and employee relations at all times
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area responsibility
