The available position is for a Pastry Cook/Baker, a vital role within Levy's baking team. This position offers an hourly wage of $16.00 and is suited for individuals with a passion for the culinary arts and some professional baking experience or training. The Pastry Cook/Baker will be responsible for producing a variety of baked goods including cookies, cakes, breads, and other pastries in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. Consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to portioning and decorating guidelines are essential in this role to ensure high-quality products are delivered consistently.

As part of Levy’s baking team, the Pastry Cook/Baker will engage in daily production and distribution of pastries, ensuring food safety, proper presentation, and temperature control are maintained. Job Requirements

  • Completion of a culinary school program or apprenticeship a plus
  • Pastry-making experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties

  • Assists with the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Operates and cleans equipment after each use
  • Performs scheduled routine cleaning
  • Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy
  • Helps maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Performs other duties as assigned
