Job Requirements
- be available to work full time (35-40 hours)
- have strong communication and organization skills
- have a positive, coachable attitude and willingness to learn
- have reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- have 1-2 years of production bakery or pastry experience
- have worked at least one year in a high volume production bakery
- responsible for decoration of specialty cupcakes and pastries
- good time management skills
- ability to multitask with a calm demeanor
- ability to follow directions, establish procedures, and prioritize tasks
- ability to visually examine products for quality and specifications
- able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- able to follow recipes and instructions both written and oral
- obtain food handlers license within 30 days of being hired
Job Duties
- report to and work closely with kitchen manager
- assist head bakers with production baking including specialty orders, case cake production, and wholesale when needed
- prepare fillings and frostings
- produce pastries and all specialty desserts
- manage storefront retail case and wholesale items
- assist with wholesale deliveries
- handle customer orders, inventory management, quality control, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and organization
