Currently, Yellowstone Club's Culinary Department is seeking a Pastry Cook for the upcoming Summer season, spanning from May to September. This seasonal position is based in Big Sky, Montana, and is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals to be part of a unique and prestigious environment. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods to supply the Club’s outlets and special events, contributing directly to the dining experience enjoyed by members and guests. The ideal candidate will greet and interact with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring outstanding service and attention to detail. Safety and security are paramount, and the position includes understanding and applying all property safety procedures to maintain a secure environment at all times. In case of emergencies, swift action and communication with management are required.
The role includes preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating breads and pastries. The Pastry Cook will also review daily production sheets to manage workload and maintain kitchen logs to ensure compliance with food safety programs. Expertise with baking tools, equipment, and appliances is necessary to perform the job safely and efficiently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required
- Previously experience as line cook
- Ability to prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking and decorating
- Knowledge of food safety policies and procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and quality standards
- Capability to maintain kitchen logs and ensure compliance with food safety programs
- Willingness to work seasonally from May to September in Big Sky, Montana

Job Duties
- Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service
- Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner
- Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times
- Prepare breads and pastries, including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate
- Review production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily
