We are currently seeking motivated and skilled Bakers to join our dynamic team. Bakers play an essential role in the preparation of recipes and food items encompassing batch production, finishing tasks, banquet plating, and a la minute dessert production. This role demands precision, organization, and attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in every product. Bakers are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the bake shop and various pastry stations throughout the company.
In addition to culinary expertise, the ideal baker will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability based on production demands and may take on leadership duties in the absence of the Chef or Stewarding Supervisor/Manager, directing stewarding job duties. This position requires individuals who can work effectively in a team environment, adhere to established sanitation standards, and operate efficiently under the pressures of a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen.
The Baker role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift between 50 and 60 pounds, push or pull up to 150 pounds, and stand, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift. Candidates must be able to accurately read and follow recipe directions, mix formulas correctly to ensure consistency, and produce various pastry components including cakes, breads, creams, mousses, glazes, and dessert sauces.
Attention to appearance and hygiene is essential, alongside strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers and guests. Basic knife skills and fundamental math abilities to calculate batch sizes and scale recipes are necessary. The Baker must be energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic, and adaptable to meet the mental and physical demands of the role.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two to three years experience in a professional cooking environment
- Ability to read and write English

- Good personal hygiene and neat appearance
