The current opportunity is for the position of Pastry Cook III, a vital culinary role within Montage International's food and beverage team. This position is hourly paid at a rate of $22.00 and offers scheduled shifts that include weekends and holidays, thereby requiring flexibility and dedication. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • One year minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel
  • Luxury hotel experience, a plus
  • Trustworthy and have integrity
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Comfortable working in temperature-controlled and extreme temperature environments like freezers and kitchens

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for baking and pastry creation
  • Experience working in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment for at least one year
  • Knowledge of luxury hotel culinary standards is a plus
  • Ability to mentor and support junior kitchen staff
  • Thorough understanding of food sanitation and culinary techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare the highest quality of food products for the restaurant and banquets, according to menu descriptions and hotel’s standards
  • Mentor Cook III and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of food products as well as sanitation standards and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level
  • Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items along with maintaining the cleanliness of your area
  • Ability to fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with skillful attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment all while maintaining professionalism
  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business need
