The full-time, non-management Food and Beverage Culinary position at The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans plays a critical role in upholding the high standards synonymous with the brand. Offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.00, this role is integral to the preparation and cooking of food according to established recipes, quality guidelines, and presentation standards. The position requires working closely with kitchen equipment and tools to ensure meals are prepared with utmost precision and safety.
This role involves preparing ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing them properly prior to cooking. The culinary team member is expected to follow rigorous safety and hygiene protocols, including correct food handling and personal hygiene standards. Monitoring appliance and food temperatures is crucial to maintain quality and safety, and any irregularities must be promptly reported to management. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- less than one year of related work experience
- no experience as supervisor required
- ability to move, lift, push, drag, and position objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted
- capability to work on inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- ability to stretch above head and below knees, including bending, twisting, and stooping
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as assigned
