This position involves independently producing a diverse array of pastry and bakery items including cakes, plated desserts, breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and specialty items. The Pastry Cook II must adhere to precise techniques and uphold consistent standards in quality, flavor, and presentation. They are responsible for executing daily production schedules efficiently and accurately, with limited supervision. Food safety and sanitation protocols such as HACCP guidelines must be strictly followed to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
This role requires a solid foundation in pastry and baking fundamentals along with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and sheeters is essential. The position demands both independent work capability as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members. Physical stamina is important as the job involves standing for long durations, mobility including climbing stairs and bending, along with the ability to lift or push heavy items up to 50 pounds in a hot and noisy environment.
