This job opportunity is for a culinary position that involves preparing and cooking food in accordance with established recipes, quality, and presentation standards. The associate will be responsible for preparing ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food before use, as well as utilizing baking and measuring tools proficiently. The position entails physical activities such as lifting, carrying, bending, and extended standing or walking, making physical stamina important. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1-year related work experience
  • Ability to physically perform job duties, including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • No supervisory experience required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances to prepare baked goods
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station, and comply with sanitation procedures
  • Monitor quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
