This position offers an exciting opportunity to join The Ritz-Carlton team, where you will be part of a culture that values creativity, compassion, and empowerment. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for preparing breads and pastries to the highest standards, ensuring the quality and presentation meet the expectations associated with The Ritz-Carlton brand. Your role will involve preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods according to production schedules and recipes. You will maintain kitchen logs to uphold food safety compliance and monitor the quality and portioning of food served during your shift.
In addition, your work will directly contribute to the seamless operation of the kitchen by effectively using baking and measuring tools and equipment, safely handling all ingredients, and adhering to rigorous food safety policies. You will play a vital role in communicating with the chef about excess food items to assist in planning daily specials, thus supporting efficient kitchen management. Though this role does not require supervisory experience, you will assist management by serving as a role model, supporting team cohesion, and helping to maintain high standards in the kitchen environment.
This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and work in various kitchen conditions. Job Requirements
- Education high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years related baking experience
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work safely with kitchen equipment
- Good personal hygiene practices
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Ability to follow recipes and quality standards
- Effective communication skills

- Knowledge of food safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare breads and pastries including doughs, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating
- Review production sheet to understand daily baked goods variety
