Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years pastry experience
- culinary degree or school preferred
- ability to read and follow menus and recipes
- able to compute mathematical calculations
- compliance with all serve safe and safety procedures
- able to lift 50 lbs
- able to stand for 8 hour shift
- able to communicate well both verbally and written in basic English
- flexible with hours and schedule
Job Qualifications
- Complete comprehension of baking math and recipe conversion
- knowledge of the entire bakery and able to train other cooks
- advanced skills in wedding cakes, viennoiserie, plated dessert, and chocolate/sugar work
- complete understanding of all daily operations and able to assist Pastry Chef
- able to work each shift in the bakeshop and train new employees
- compliance with all serve safe and safety procedures
- designated trainer for department
- flexible with hours and schedule
- minimum 5 years pastry experience
- culinary degree or school preferred
- ability to communicate well both verbally and written in basic English
- reading and counting is essential
Job Duties
- Prepare all pastry items
- maintain control charts of all food items produced
- maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout cooking area
- responsible for opening and closing checklists and production of daily menu items
- act as lead in responsible outlet such as banquets, wedding cakes, productions, viennoiserie
- lead through example demonstrating technique and precision to other pastry cooks
- work with Pastry Chef to produce new menu items, tastings, VIP buffets
