Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year pastry experience required
  • Active Food Handlers certificate required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively

Job Duties

  • Assisting in preparing all bread production and dessert prep
  • Preparing all foods as directed by the head pastry chef and company standards
  • Plating and garnishing meal items in accordance with the instructions provided by the pastry chef
  • Collaborating with chefs to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that pastry station is adequately stocked with the necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Ensuring that all cooking stations and kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected before and after each shift
  • Adhering to standard food rotation practices to reduce food wastage and minimize the risk of contamination
  • Assessing the quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets restaurant standards
