We are currently seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join the Papi Steak team. This full-time position is integral to the kitchen’s pastry department and focuses on the daily preparation and execution of all pastry items. The Pastry Cook will work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and other culinary staff to ensure all products meet the high standards set forth by the restaurant. Responsibilities include setting up the station before service, properly following recipes, maintaining portion control, ensuring consistent presentation, and managing waste effectively. The Pastry Cook must have a solid grasp of professional pastry techniques, flavor profiles, and the ability to replicate menu items without variation. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment. Job Duties

  • Sets up station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines
  • Prepares all pastry items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Pastry Chef or restaurant
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift and is responsible in taking inventory after service
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
