Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen, preparing and cooking
  • Positive energy and readiness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
  • Ability to speak, read and understand basic baking and cooking directions
  • Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and all guests
  • Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen
  • Ability to prepare and cook a variety of pastries and baked goods
  • Positive energy and team player attitude
  • Capability to understand and follow basic baking and cooking directions
  • Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain standing and walking for extended periods with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling or lifting

Job Duties

  • Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
  • Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Complete a daily prep list and closing checklist for each shift for assigned duties while maintaining a clean and sanitary work station
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, shelves, walls, ovens, pastry/dessert equipment and refrigeration units adhering to all DHEC regulations
  • Promptly report all product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to Pastry Chef or Executive Chef
  • Assist fellow support staff and work collaboratively as a team player
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Pastry Chef or manager-on-duty
