The Pastry Cook role at The Summit Club offers an exciting opportunity to join the culinary department at one of Discovery Land Company’s premier locations. Reporting directly to the Pastry Chef, the Pastry Cook will play a vital role in crafting innovative pastry and dessert offerings that complement both casual and fine dining experiences within the club. This position involves executing the club's high pastry standards by focusing on quality, presentation, and creative technique. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for contributing to the success of the culinary program by maintaining strict quality control, minimizing waste, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Collaboration with culinary and food and beverage leadership is essential to uphold exemplary culinary standards and support continuous improvement. The role demands a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage kitchen organization and inventory efficiently, and a dedication to delivering an unparalleled dining experience for members and guests. This is a position that requires a skilled individual with at least one year of pastry cook experience in a major resort, hotel, or club setting, along with culinary knowledge in baking techniques. Candidates should bring a positive attitude, professionalism, and strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and members. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary to meet business demands. Physically, the role requires stamina to work long hours, including standing, walking, and lifting, often in diverse weather conditions.
