NoMI is celebrated for delivering a refined and approachable dining environment that features breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. The establishment’s culinary team demonstrates a commitment to creativity, quality, and impeccable presentation, ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable meal. The pastry program at NoMI mirrors this high standard, producing exquisite desserts, house-made breads, viennoiserie, and seasonal confections that elevate the overall dining experience.
The role of Pastry Cook 2 at NoMI within Park Hyatt Chicago is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals to advance their career in a luxury hospitality environment. This role demands a high degree of precision, artistry, and technical skill in pastry arts. The successful candidate will engage in preparing and executing a broad range of pastry creations, including plated desserts, breakfast pastries, amenity items, breads, and banquet pastry production. Working with minimal supervision, the Pastry Cook 2 will be responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality that distinguishes the Park Hyatt brand, particularly its Forbes-rated status. This position requires the ability to support daily mise en place and service execution while upholding rigorous standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, craftsmanship, and teamwork, encouraging collaboration with fellow pastry chefs to foster a supportive and innovative kitchen culture. This is a full-time, hourly role with a competitive wage starting at $28.05 per hour, including eligibility for overtime and premium pay where applicable. The position also highlights the inclusive and people-centered culture at Hyatt, which values genuine connections, respect, empathy, and employee development. Joining this team means contributing to a workplace that prioritizes care and excellence, creating meaningful experiences for both colleagues and guests alike. This role not only strengthens the candidate's skills but also opens doors for career progression within Hyatt’s global hospitality network.
