Job Description
Goodnight Hospitality is a prominent restaurant group based in Houston, Texas, known for its commitment to excellence and distinctive dining experiences. The company operates a family of acclaimed restaurants, including March, Rosie Cannonball, The Marigold Club, and Montrose Cheese & Wine, each with its own unique style and accolades such as Michelin stars and Bib Gourmand recognition. Goodnight Hospitality emphasizes a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous growth among its team members, fostering an environment where culinary professionals can thrive and develop their skills.
The opportunity at hand is for a Pastry Cook to join the pastry teams at two of Goodnight Hospitality's renowned establishments: March and Rosie Cannonball. March is an intimate fine-dining restaurant that explores Mediterranean cuisines and cultural intersections through meticulously researched and evolving menus, guided by Chef Felipe Riccio and supported by an expert wine program led by Master Sommelier June Rodil. Rosie Cannonball offers a casual European dining experience with a focus on wood-fired dishes and a wine program spotlighting approachable producers from regions such as Beaujolais and the Loire Valley.
The role of Pastry Cook involves working closely with the talented pastry leadership, including renowned chefs Nicolas Berrais and Jonathan Garza. This position requires a passion for pastry arts, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment. Candidates will engage in producing high-quality pastry items that complement the innovative culinary offerings of both March and Rosie Cannonball. The ideal Pastry Cook is highly organized, communicative, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Goodnight Hospitality seeks individuals who are not only skilled but also humble and eager to grow within a team-oriented setting. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as this role demands availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. The environment promotes a balance of creativity and discipline, encouraging candidates to cultivate a growth mindset and contribute positively to the overall guest experience.
Working with Goodnight Hospitality offers the chance to be part of a leading restaurant group that is deeply committed to quality and innovation. The Pastry Cook will gain valuable experience under the mentorship of industry leaders and participate in creating memorable dining experiences recognized by prestigious culinary awards. Those passionate about pastry and hospitality will find this role rewarding and a significant step in their culinary career.
