Job Duties
- Creation and preparation of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and breads following traditional and new recipes
- Decoration of desserts using frostings, glazes, and toppings to create visually appealing presentations
- Contribution to menu development by suggesting new dishes and custom desserts
- Management of inventory and ordering ingredients and supplies for the pastry section
- Maintenance of a clean, hygienic work area and supervision of kitchen staff
- Accurate record-keeping of food costs and inventory
