This specific role is a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position focusing on culinary preparation within the Marriott International framework. The hourly pay for this position is $22.15. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preparing and cooking food in accordance with company recipes, quality, and presentation standards, ensuring that each dish meets the high expectations set by Marriott International. This position involves preparing ingredients, portioning, chopping, and storing food appropriately to maintain freshness and quality. The individual must use baking and measuring tools responsibly and with safety in mind, adhering to all food safety handling policies including personal hygiene protocols.
The role demands vigilance in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, including washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, setting up and breaking down workstations, and complying with all sanitation procedures. Monitoring food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift is essential, alongside ensuring kitchen appliances and food items reach and maintain safe temperatures. Reporting any discrepancies or issues to management promptly is crucial. The candidate will also follow all company safety and security policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, complete necessary training and certifications, and uphold the professional appearance and conduct standards of Marriott International.

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
- Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
- Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area
