The role of Pastry Cook at Selland Family Restaurants is a full-time position that pays between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour. As a Pastry Cook, you will be essential to upholding the culinary standards and delivering the quality baked goods that define the Selland experience.   • Available to work afternoon/evenings (5:00am -2:00pm)
  • ability to always be positive attentive and hospitable
  • willingness to learn and grow
  • preferred 2-3 years of previous experience
  • valid Responsible Beverage Serving (RBS) Card
  • ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
  • must be at least 18 years of age or have a valid work permit
  • reliable transportation to work

Job Duties

  • Accurately mix bake and decorate all products according to the bakery inventory list
  • maintain the highest standards of quality by tasting products and ensuring all items are prepped and cooked to perfection
  • take full ownership of your station including maintaining product pars completing daily inventory sheets and ensuring all products are properly stored and labeled at the end of each shift
  • ensure every item produced meets our guest-ready standard while maintaining expert knowledge of sanitary food handling practices
  • work shifts as a cohesive unit by communicating effectively with the kitchen team and assisting in the loading of delivery vans
  • maintain a spotless workspace adopting a clean as you go philosophy
