We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual interested in building a career within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. The role involves crafting fresh cakes, pastries, and desserts with precision and creativity, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. As a key member of the kitchen team, the Pastry Cook will contribute to daily production as well as special events and functions throughout the club.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and measure ingredients accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Can-do attitude demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you
  • Working knowledge of baking
  • Ability to measure correctly, proper mixing and blending skills are required
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking temperatures and general food safety regulations
  • Full-time flexible hours are required including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Participate in the production and preparation of fresh cakes, pastries, and desserts
  • Responsible for pastry production for the dining room and all other functions in the club as instructed by Pastry Chef
  • Follow pastry-related recipes and ingredient purchase specifications
  • Decorate pastry items for special events such as buffets and receptions
  • Maintain the highest professional food quality and sanitation standards
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and/or decorating special pastry items as necessary
  • Assist in the monthly inventory
  • Monitor control to minimize food and supply waste and theft
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
