The role available at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is that of a Pastry Chef, a vital member of the culinary team responsible for preparing high-quality pastry items that meet consistent standards of taste, presentation, and portion control. This full-time position demands a candidate who is skilled in baking and pastry arts, capable of operating and maintaining kitchen equipment effectively, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The Pastry Chef will prepare custom pastry items according to guest orders, complete mise en place for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner services, and prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of formal culinary education or equivalent experience and a minimum of four years in the culinary or related field. They should possess a flexible schedule that includes availability for all shifts, weekends, holidays, and potentially overnight hours. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum four years culinary or related work experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- Basic culinary knowledge
- Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Physical capability to stand for long periods
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience
- Minimum four years culinary or related work experience
- Basic culinary knowledge expected
- Working knowledge generally learned on-the-job

Job Duties
- Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
- Complete mise en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
- Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment including food processor, mixer, oven
- Maintain a clean and efficient station
- Manage and prioritize tasks by shift
