Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Related experience and/or culinary program curriculum
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in small groups and one-on-one
  • Physical capability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform kitchen tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy, hot kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Related experience and/or completion of culinary program curriculum
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate one-on-one and in small group situations
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with weights, volume and distance units
  • Common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical ability to perform job duties

Job Duties

  • Prepare all dishes according to Pastry Chef standards of quality, quantity, taste and presentation
  • Maintain food storage areas and receive, store and rotate food stock
  • Keep a clean and orderly work area especially for the crew behind you
  • Follow safety and sanitation policies
  • Assist in inventory management
  • Support kitchen staff as needed
  • Comply with food health regulations
