Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Less than one year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift, move, or carry objects up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work part-time hours at Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Less than one year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and food preparation procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
  • Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing
  • Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely
  • Follow food safety, handling, and personal hygiene procedures
  • Check temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, report issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area
  • Set-up and break-down work station
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout shift
  • Comply with company policies including safety and security
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
  • Maintain professional uniform and appearance
  • Protect company assets and confidential information
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • Support team to achieve common goals
  • Perform physical tasks like lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, standing, and walking for long periods
  • Perform other job duties as requested by supervisors
