Currently, Zachry Hotels is preparing to launch The Monarch San Antonio, a boutique hotel poised to make a significant mark in the luxury hospitality landscape of downtown San Antonio. As part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, The Monarch San Antonio will be a 200-room, 17-story property situated in the vibrant Hemisfair District, celebrated for its blend of local culture and contemporary elegance. Set to open in early 2026, the hotel draws inspiration from the Monarch butterfly, symbolizing transformation and grace, themes integral to the guest experience it aims to deliver. The Monarch will boast a full-service spa, a terrace pool, and five distinctive food and beverage venues, including an exclusive rooftop restaurant and bar. Its prime location just steps from iconic landmarks such as the River Walk and The Alamo positions it as an enticing destination for visitors seeking more than just a place to stay.
The Monarch San Antonio embodies a legacy of service and sophistication, focusing on delivering gracious, genuine, and unforgettable hospitality experiences. The hotel’s design philosophy harmonizes traditional values with modern luxury, ensuring each interaction and detail resonates with the spirit of San Antonio. As part of this visionary endeavor, Zachry Hotels is building a dynamic team that shares a passion for hospitality excellence and a dedication to creating memorable moments for every guest.
The role of Pastry Cook at The Monarch San Antonio is a pivotal position within the culinary team dedicated to crafting exceptional desserts, pastries, breads, and confections that exemplify the highest standards of creativity, quality, and presentation. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment serving multiple dining outlets, banquets, and special events. The Pastry Cook will work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef in preparing diverse pastries and desserts, supporting menu development, and ensuring consistent excellence in all culinary outputs.
This opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding environment where culinary professionals can expand their skills and contribute to the creation of innovative pastry offerings that delight guests. Working at The Monarch San Antonio allows pastry chefs to be part of a team dedicated to upholding the legacy of fine hospitality within a prestigious brand. Zachry Hotels supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that reflects its commitment to employee well-being, providing medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid leave, bonus programs, disability insurance, employee assistance, tuition reimbursement, and more.
Candidates for this role should expect a collaborative, creative work atmosphere that values precision, passion, and professionalism. The Pastry Cook position demands flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the dynamic rhythm of luxury hotel operations. Those who join Zachry Hotels will find a workplace where every person matters and where the mission extends beyond a job to cultivating memorable experiences for both guests and team members alike.
