Job Requirements

  • Ability knowledge of workstation set up and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to meet the restaurant's menu needs
  • Thorough knowledge of menu items and recipes
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Spend 100 percent of the time standing or walking
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs on a regular and continuing basis
  • Occasionally lift trays weighing up to 50lbs
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously to communicate with supervisors and employees
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and pastry preparation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Passion for continuous learning and innovation in food
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Leverage culinary skills and experience to prep and run a station during busy service
  • Work seamlessly with an energetic and positive kitchen team to prepare and reproduce menu items
  • Embrace continuous learning and an innovative approach to food and beverage knowledge
  • Understand all ingredients as they pertain to each recipe and preparation of authentic menu items
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation following food safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet the restaurant’s menu needs
  • Take direction and work efficiently in a team environment under pressure
