Located on the second story featuring a stylish restaurant, bar, and terrace, Etaru offers both indoor and outdoor dining experiences with a relaxed beach bar atmosphere serving patrons directly on the sand during weekends. As an Etaru Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in upholding the restaurant's high standards of excellence by preparing an extensive variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that captivate and delight guests. This position requires collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure that every dish meets Etaru’s exacting quality and presentation standards. The Pastry Cook at Etaru is entrusted with executing precise measurements, advanced pastry techniques, and artistic decoration to create memorable plated desserts. You will be responsible not only for baking but also for preparing components including sauces, creams, garnishes, and accompaniments that enhance the overall dessert presentations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary or pastry experience in a similar setting
- Knowledge of Japanese dessert styles preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to follow health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment
- Solid understanding of pastry techniques including mixing, baking, piping, and decorating
- A genuine love for culinary experiences and passion for Japanese cuisine
- Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Customer-oriented mindset with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation and production of a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods following recipes and guidelines established by the Head Pastry Chef or Head Chef
- Execute precise measurements and techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all pastry creations
- Prepare and assemble components for plated desserts including sauces, creams, garnishes, and accompaniments
- Bake, decorate, and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail and presentation standards
- Collaborate closely with kitchen team to uphold Etaru’s standards of excellence
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry workstation
- Assist in inventory management and ingredient ordering as needed
