Job Description

Our company is a distinguished establishment specializing in providing exceptional bakery and pastry products. With a strong reputation for quality and attention to detail, we cater to a diverse clientele including restaurants, banquet services, and individual members seeking custom pastry creations. We value culinary expertise, creativity, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all our operations. Our team works collaboratively under the guidance of experienced culinary leaders such as the Lead Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to deliver outstanding baked and non-baked goods consistently. This is a full-time position that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, disability coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off, reinforcing our commitment to employee welfare and job satisfaction.

The Pastry Chef role involves the preparation and baking of a variety of cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, and other desserts according to detailed guided specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing both baked and non-baked pastry goods, ensuring product freshness and presentation quality are maintained daily. This includes preparing fillings, decorating, plating, and cutting to meet our standards and satisfy client requests. The role demands adherence to standard recipes as outlined in cookbooks and function orders, including special orders for members. Beyond the creative aspects of pastry preparation, the role requires maintaining an organized, clean, and sanitized work area to comply with all health and safety standards. The Pastry Chef will also be tasked with managing inventory by pulling supplies from the storeroom and stocking items essential for pastry creation and decorating.

The position requires effective communication skills to coordinate needs and requirements with the culinary leadership team. The candidate must be capable of performing opening and closing duties, completing daily checklists, and producing daily menu items efficiently. Physical demands of the job include frequent sitting, manual dexterity in handling tools and ingredients, occasional standing and walking, and lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral vision along with depth perception is necessary to perform intricate decoration and preparation tasks skillfully.

We seek a team member who is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of workmanship, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
