Renowned as one of the top 20 private clubs in the United States, Charlotte Country Club has also earned the distinction of being a Top-50 Platinum Club of the World by the Club Leaders Forum. The club prides itself on providing an unparalleled country club experience to its members and guests. This is achieved through first impressions, attentive and kind service throughout every visit, and sincere farewells, ensuring each interaction feels personalized and memorable. The team at Charlotte Country Club is dedicated to maintaining this high standard of excellence, focusing on creating unique and memorable experiences every day.
The Pastry Cook role at Charlotte Country Club is a vital position within the culinary team, responsible for crafting high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods that contribute to the overall guest experience. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the club's demanding schedule. The Pastry Cook supports daily pastry kitchen operations and helps maintain consistency, creativity, and adherence to the club’s rigorous culinary standards. This role involves preparing and baking a diverse range of items for daily service, banquets, and special events, ensuring each item meets precise recipe and presentation standards. The Pastry Cook collaborates closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef to align daily production with the club’s menu planning and execution.
Beyond baking, the position involves assisting with menu development by contributing innovative ideas for seasonal and event-specific offerings, ensuring the pastry offerings remain fresh, creative, and appealing to members and guests. The role also includes maintaining proper food storage and temperature controls, organizing and sanitizing the work environment according to health and safety regulations, and minimizing waste through efficient ingredient storage and rotation. The Pastry Cook is expected to work well with other culinary team members to ensure efficient service and delivery of pastry items and may also assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving pastry ingredients and supplies.
This position emphasizes teamwork, creativity, time management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while upholding the club’s standards for quality and excellence. The Pastry Cook contributes not only to the culinary output but also to the positive atmosphere and culture of the pastry kitchen. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about continuous improvement and will actively participate in club programs aimed at enhancing product quality and service.
Charlotte Country Club offers a supportive and friendly team environment, beautiful working conditions, free meals, and various employee outings and events. Eligible team members benefit from an attractive benefits package including paid time off, free long-term disability insurance, group life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, 401(k) match, and health savings account contributions from the club. Pre-employment screening includes a background check and drug test, maintaining a drug-free workplace environment. Overall, this is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious club’s culinary team and develop a pastry career within a respected institution committed to excellence and member satisfaction.
