Job Description

Noble Village Group is a highly respected culinary organization known for its dedication to Japanese-inspired cuisine and exceptional quality in bakery and pastry products. The company operates modern bakery and café locations that specialize in a blend of traditional and contemporary Japanese desserts, including mochi, dorayaki, castella, anko (red bean paste), and matcha-based sweets. With a strong emphasis on freshness, presentation, and authenticity, Noble Village Group has built a solid reputation for delivering delightful culinary experiences that celebrate the unique flavors and textures cherished in Japanese culture. The group not only focuses on high-quality production but also remains committed to sustainable and hygienic food practices, ensuring a safe environment for both employees and customers. Noble Village Group’s professional team works diligently to maintain a clean and well-organized production area, upholding strict food safety standards aligned with local health regulations.

The role of Pastry Cook - Beginner at Noble Village Group is an entry-level position tailored for individuals passionate about pastry arts and eager to develop foundational skills within a supportive and dynamic kitchen environment. This position involves assisting in the preparation, portioning, baking, finishing, and packaging of an exciting variety of dessert and pastry products according to company standards. Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will work closely with the Pastry Manager or Lead to learn the precise techniques used in baking Japanese-style desserts as well as more conventional pastries and breads. This hands-on experience allows the beginner cook to familiarize themselves with specialized Japanese ingredients and desserts, which includes gaining knowledge about distinct items such as mochi, dorayaki, castella, anko (red bean paste), and matcha-items. Candidates in this role will help maintain consistency in the size, flavor balance, and presentation, ensuring every product meets Noble Village Group’s high-quality benchmarks.

Key responsibilities include following standardized recipes carefully, accurately measuring ingredients, assisting in mixing and shaping batters and doughs, and monitoring the baking process. Additionally, tasks involve assisting with the decorative finishing touches like glazing, garnishing, labeling, and appropriately packaging finished goods. Food safety and sanitation are priorities; therefore, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to allergen control procedures, and properly storing ingredients and products are essential duties.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is just starting their career in pastry or bakery and is eager to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen setting. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate well within a team while accepting feedback and learning rapidly. While prior experience is preferred, it is not mandatory, as this position offers valuable training and mentorship to build a successful career in baking. The work environment may include exposure to heat, flour, sugar dust, refrigerated storage, and will often include early morning, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on location. Noble Village Group is committed to equal employment opportunity and adheres to all federal employment laws to ensure fair treatment of all applicants and employees.
