Physical demands include regular mobility, standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items up to 70 pounds, and working in a temperature-controlled kitchen environment. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Manager allergens certification
  • Manager food safety certification
  • Minimum two-years food service or related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand continuously for extended hours
  • Ability to move regularly around the kitchen and communicate effectively with staff
  • Ability to work in temperature ranges from -10 degrees to over 100 degrees inside the kitchen

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurants and room service to ensure quality and consistency
  • Manage human resources in the production and preparation areas including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, coaching, counseling, performance and salary reviews, discipline and termination
  • Schedule and manage maintenance and sanitation of kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a safe, healthy work environment in compliance with standards
  • Monitor, analyze and control labor and food costs, prepare relevant reports and schedules to meet budgets while maintaining or improving quality
  • Promote the accident prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
