Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Associates degree in culinary arts preferred
- Five plus years of experience as a pastry chef
- Two plus years of experience working in a high-volume hotel, theme park, or military education environment
- Able to positively interact with guests, co-workers, vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in organizational planning
- Able to stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Able to meet availability requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Support daily culinary operations with specialized and standard desserts and bread selections
- Work with Executive Sous Chef to plan and coordinate menus for special events and banquets
- Maintain existing recipes and standards
- Coach, teach and develop bakery team members
- Ensure facility sanitation, cleanliness and facility equipment monitoring
- Develop and implement new culinary ideas as needed
- Operate central baking kitchen and Flamingo Kitchen on a daily basis
- Prepare desserts for catering and special events
- Requisition food and supplies through approved systems
- Direct kitchen team members in food preparation, cooking and serving
- Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies
- Assist other locations and areas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef
