Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years of pastry cook or similar experience
- knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques
- ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- valid SNHD food handling card
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- reliable attendance
- event-driven schedule availability including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- minimum 5 years of experience as a pastry cook or in a similar pastry/baking role
- deep knowledge of pastry techniques, including laminated doughs, mousses, custards, and tempering chocolate
- strong eye for detail and artistic presentation
- ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- excellent time management and organizational skills
- team player with a strong work ethic
- possess valid SNHD food handling card
- culinary or pastry school certification preferred
- experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, or patisseries preferred
- familiarity with dietary accommodations such as gluten-free and vegan preferred
Job Duties
- prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards
- develop new dessert concepts in collaboration with the pastry chef or executive chef
- measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision
- decorate and plate desserts for service, maintaining presentation standards
- ensure food safety, cleanliness, and proper storage at all times
- assist with monitoring inventory levels and assist in ordering pastry supplies
- maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition
- train and mentor junior pastry staff as needed as directed by Executive Chef of Pastry
- maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event driven schedule including nights and weekends per business need
