Maxime's is the newest private member's club founded by entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. We are currently looking for a talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join our world-class culinary brigade based in our Bronx Production Facility. This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Pastry Head Chefs and Sous Chefs in the production of specialty breads, cakes, and viennoiseries. The Pastry Chef de Partie will play a vital role in ensuring all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, reflecting the club's dedication to culinary perfection.   • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a pastry department
  • Ability to work under direction of the Pastry Head Chef and Pastry Sous Chefs
  • Strong culinary techniques and passion for quality
  • Ability to train and mentor junior members of the team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Positive professional attitude and team player mentality
  • Ability to stand, walk and occasionally lift as part of normal restaurant operations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a pastry department

Job Duties

  • Assist the Pastry Head Chef and all Pastry Sous Chefs in producing specialty breads, cakes and viennoiseries to required standards
  • Ensure quality and consistency with preparation and presentation of pastry products
  • Train and mentor junior pastry team members
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry production area
  • Collaborate with culinary team to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Thrive and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
