This opportunity is to join Fairmont Austin as a Chef de Partie in the pastry department, reporting directly to the Executive Assistant Pastry Chef. This role is integral to the culinary culture of the hotel, where culinary art meets precision and teamwork. The Chef de Partie will lead, supervise, and motivate their team, ensuring the highest standards in pastry preparation aligned with Fairmont Austin’s culinary philosophy. Your role as a Chef de Partie involves acting as a supervisor and leader, tasked with organizing the team effectively, prioritizing duties, and ensuring high productivity during every shift. Coordination with the Sous Chef to maintain seamless service and uphold meticulous food quality and presentation is key to this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a similar culinary role preferred
  • knowledge of pastry techniques and culinary standards
  • ability to stand and walk throughout shifts
  • capacity to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
  • excellent communication skills
  • adherence to health and safety regulations
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • share ideas and suggestions in daily briefings
  • liaise with chefs about guest feedback
