Your role will involve preparing items from scratch, including breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, pies, cakes, cookies, pastries, and a variety of desserts used across food operations, banquets, specialty orders, and to-go services.
Beyond baking, the Pastry Chef is entrusted with overseeing the creativity of the desserts, managing production schedules to maintain a fresh inventory, and ensuring the operational flow supports customer satisfaction and waste reduction. Punctuality and reliability are crucial, and you will be expected to demonstrate commitment by attending scheduled shifts regularly. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Open availability to work varying shifts including days and hours
- Willingness to comply with food safety and workplace safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to baking
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Pastry Arts or equivalent culinary education
- 3 to 5 years of experience in pastry preparation with emphasis on high production
- Team-oriented and adaptable with strong reliability
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Oversee creativity and prepares all desserts required for all food operations, banquets, specialty orders and to-go orders
- Prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, pies, cakes, cookies, pastries, and other desserts
- Schedule production of all baked goods to maintain an inventory of fresh baked goods
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
