The role of Pastry Chef is integral to our culinary team, tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the pastry department. The Pastry Chef will not only be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety are maintained but will also champion the continuous development of the team members. This position requires a blend of technical baking expertise and creative flair to innovate and develop new pastry products that align with our brand’s vision and delight our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and coaching staff on a wide variety of baking techniques and skills, ensuring consistency across all offerings. From managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards, this role is vital to the seamless operation of the pastry kitchen. Furthermore, the Pastry Chef will work closely with the executive chef and other culinary leaders to plan seasonal menus and special dessert features. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a pastry chef role
- proficiency in baking and pastry techniques
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
