Since its establishment in 2006, it has been celebrated for crafting fine and delicate pastries, drinks, breads, sandwiches, wedding cakes, and special order cakes. This bakery seamlessly blends traditional French patisserie techniques with Japanese influences, creating an exceptional culinary experience that appeals to both locals and tourists alike. The bakery operates seven days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., subject to changes in Ala Moana Center's hours. Flexible shift schedules are provided for kitchen and sales staff, allowing for a dynamic and accommodating work environment.
La Palme d'Or is currently seeking a dedicated long-term pastry chef to join their team. This role involves reporting for assigned shifts throughout the week and ensuring the production of high-quality pastries with meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a culinary education and the ambition to acquire invaluable skills from a French-Japanese patisserie setting. The pastry chef will specialize in creating sophisticated items such as entremets and petit gateaux, reflecting the bakery's commitment to refined and artistic pastry offerings. The role demands a professional who is passionate about pastry arts, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities include attending mandatory training sessions, performing various tasks as directed by the lead chef, handling customer complaints professionally, and completing assignments punctually. Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in pastry cooking and/or bread making desired
- associate's, certificate, or equivalent in a culinary program
- valid ServSafe certificate desired
