Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in pastry production or baking
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods
- Ability to manage and train staff effectively
- Knowledge of safe operation of kitchen equipment
- Understanding of inventory and cost control practices
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
- Creativity and innovation in developing new products
- Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
